Career Futures is OPEN to clients by APPOINTMENT ONLY.  Please call 406-723-9101 to set up an appointment.  Upon entering the office you will have your temperature taken, review and sign a health assessment, and be requested to wear a mask.  If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.  These steps are following the Governor's Phase 2 Directive and the Health Plan submitted to the Butte Silver Bow Health Department.

Career Futures, Inc.

Introduction: Career Futures, Inc. is considered an essential office as services provided are to ensure that individuals who are enrolled on TANF (cash assistance) receive their monthly cash benefit. Career Futures, Inc. authorizes these benefits. The WIOA and State Displaced Homemaker Program are essential for individuals who are receiving financial assistance for education, training and employment services. Because of being an essential non-profit, Career Futures continued to stay open during Phase 1 and Phase 2 to provide needed services to our clients. 

Career Futures has been awarded a COVID-19 Social Services Grant to provide services to individuals who are within 200% of the federal poverty level and needing assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Purpose of COVID Social Services Grant: The COVID-19 relief grant is to assist individuals and families, who are at or below the 200% of Poverty level in the State of Montana. Grant request is for those who are in need of child care needs, transportation needs, on-line training, such as laptops, printers, registration fees, on-line computer related needs, and other supportive services needed to assist the individual/families during this Pandemic.

 Please call Career Futures, Inc. for an appointment, (406) 723-9101. Career Futures, Inc. is following the Phase 2 of the Governors’ Directive as well as the Silver Bow Health Department Plan to keep the staff as well as individuals safe and healthy. Upon arrival to your appointment, Career Futures, Inc. staff will take your temperature as well as have you review and sign a required COVID-19 Health Assessment Form. 


Career Futures was originally founded in 1986 as a private, non-profit organization that is incorporated under State law and whose purpose is not to make a profit, but to further to meet employment needs in the community of Butte, Montana.  Although Career Futures receives funding from State entities, it is not state controlled and is not owned or operated by the government. Career Futures is registered with the Secretary of State, has By-Laws, a Board of Directors, and a paid Executive Director and staff.


The services have since grown to meet the changing demands of the workforce where we have expanded to serve all adults and businesses within Butte and surrounding rural counties.  Many of our services are available in the following counties: Butte-Silver Bow, Deer Lodge, Granite, Powell, Beaverhead, and Southern Jefferson (Whitehall). 

Career Futures has operated the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Work Readiness Component Program (WoRC) - now known as Pathways - since 1996 and also administers:  State Displaced Homemaker Program (since 1986); and in 1998 the Workforce Investment Act Adult (WIA) - now known as WIOA (Workforce Inovation Opportunity Act).
